| Directions | Measurement chart. Recipe size - 1 cup. Brown gravy mix - 3 Tbsp. Cold water - 1 cup. Recipe size - 2 cups. Brown gravy mix - 6 Tbsp. Cold water - 2 cups. Recipe size - 4 cups*. Brown gravy mix - 3/4 cup. Cold water - 4 cups. 1. Stir water gradually into Gravy Mix with whisk in saucepan. 2. Stirring frequently, cook on medium heat until gravy comes to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. (Gravy will thicken upon standing) Serve over beef, hot meat sandwiches or mashed potatoes. *For larger batches, additional cooking time may be needed. Note: For each additional 1 cup gravy, add 3 tbsp. Gravy Mix and 1 cup water. Microwave Directions (for 1 cup gravy): Stir water into Gravy Mix in 1 1/2-quart microwavable bowl. Microwave on high 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened, stirring after each minute. Microwave ovens vary; cook time is approximate. Try this twist! For an herbed brown gravy, season prepared gravy with McCormick parsley flakes or thyme leaves. |
