Install 9 "AAA" batteries (not included) into the bottom battery compartments (3 "AAA" each pillar) Make sure the battery polarity (+/-) is as indicated. (see A). 2. Use the ON-OFF-6H switches on the bottom of the lantern to turn the LEDs to the ON, OFF or 6H (6 hour timer)' position. (see B). 3. If not set to 6H position, switch to OFF position when not m use. Built-in automatic timer function. When switches are set to the 6H position, the LEDs will turn on for 6 hours and then automatically turn off for a period of 18 hours. If the timer function settings are not changed, the LEDs will automatically turn ON and OFF at the same time each day.
