Carbon absorption by rainforests helps reduce the amount of CO2 that could otherwise be released into the Earth's atmosphere and contribute to global warming.

68-95 degrees - The average rainforest temperature.
1-2 - Years the forest can be farmed on if trees are cleared After that, the soil loses all nutrients and becomes useless.
To meet demands for timber and cropland use, an area of rainforest the size of a football field is being destroyed every second. When these forests are cut down, the plants and animals that live in them are destroyed, and many species are at risk of becoming extinct.
