Directions |
Helpful hints: Do not use if your hair is not in good condition. Apply to clean, dry hair. Do not shampoo immediately before coloring. If hair is very soiled or has heavy buildup of styling aids shampoo 24 hours before application. Prepare mixture immediately before use. Do not mix any other products. Protect clothing and work area from spills with a smock and towels to avoid permanent staining. To prevent skin staining, apply petroleum jelly around your hairline and the nape of your neck. Avoid contact with hair. Remove any staining with a damp towel dipped in shampoo. Rinse spills immediately with cool or lukewarm water. Step 1: Mix color. Note: color of mixture during application and development is not the final color result. 1. First: Put on coloring gloves. Snip off tip of the cream color developer (1) applicator as shown, then remove applicator cap from bottle. 2. Next: Pour all of the ammonia-free colorant (2) into the cream color developer bottle (1). 3. Finally: Replace cream color developer bottle (1) applicator cap securely. Place gloved finger over open tip, pointing away from your face. Shake vigorously until mixture is completely blended. Caution: Never leave the cap on the cream color developer bottle (1) after mixing. The container may burst. Step 2: Apply color, time & rinse. Option A: Full head application. Part your hair into 4 equal sections as shown and secure each section with a plastic clip, especially if your hair is long. Unclip one section of hair. Then use applicator tip to make 1/4 inch partings through the rest of the section & apply mixture to the root area at each parting. Do not rub mixture into scalp. Repeat on three remaining sections. If mixture gets on skin, gently wipe it off with a damp towel. Comb or gently work remaining mixture through the rest of your hair, saturating hair completely through to the tip. Leave on hair for 25 minutes total. For resistant gray hair, leave on for an additional 5 minutes (30 minutes total). For ultra light blonde shades 03, 04, and 05, leave on for an additional 20 minutes (45 minutes total). Add a little warm water to your hair and gently massage color mixture through hair. Remember to wear your gloves. Rinse hair thoroughly with warm water until the water runs clear. Discard unused mixture. Apply entire contents of after-color conditioner (3) evenly to your hair. Leave on for 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Style as usual. 25 minutes. Resistant gray hair. Leave on for an additional 5 minutes. Ultra light blonde shades 03, 04 and 05. Leave on for an additional 20 minutes. Option B: Touch-up application. If you are re-coloring or retouching your hair. 20+5 minutes: Resistant gray hair. Leave on for an additional 5 minutes. Ultra light blonde shades 03, 04 and 05. Leave on for an additional 20 minutes. Part your hair into 4 equal sections as shown. Secure each section with a plastic clip, especially if your hair is long. Unclip one section of hair. Then use applicator tip to make 1/4 inch partings through the rest of the section and apply mixture to the root area at each part. Do not rub mixture into scalp. Repeat on three remaining sections. After root area timing is complete, work remaining mixture through the rest of your hair and leave on an additional 5 minutes (for all hair types). Add a little warm water to your hair and gently massage color mixture through hair. Remember to wear your gloves. Rinse hair thoroughly with warm water until the water runs clear. Discard unused mixture. Apply entire contents of after-color conditioner (3) evenly to your hair. Leave on for 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Style as usual.
