Some cool ways to use pita:
Sandwiches:
Roll it, fold it, or stuff it with hot or cold fillings, including salads, cheese, deli meats, stir-fried vegetables, meatballs, sausage, and falafels.
Pizzas:
Top with sauce, cheese, and other toppings for an individual light pizza. Or, fold it over into a pizza wrap.
Grilled flatbread:
Grill fillings of your choice between two pita until the outsides are crispy and the fillings are thoroughly heated.
Toast:
Cut into quarters and toast. Slather warm toast with butter or jam.
Pita chips:
Cut into eights and brush with olive or coconut oil to bake into savory or sweet pita chips. Or fry the chips in an inch of vegetable oil for light and crispy cracker-like chips.
Thawing instructions: from the freezer cover the pita and bring to room temperature or warm in 10-second increments in the microwave.
Preparation tips:
Frozen pita need to be at least at room temperature to be flexible.
Once thawed, cover to retain flexibility.
When preparing a sandwich for later use, make without sauces and condiments and apply just before eating.
Store in freezer - warm to restore flexibility.

7-inch Lebanese-style pita.

Other Description |
Lebanese-style pita is extremely thin, lightly-leavened bread with a soft exterior. It is baked in a very hot oven under flames for a short period of time. You'll even notice slight char marks from the flames. Typically the bread puffs up with the heat, and falls back down as it cools. Stuff it, wrap it, grill it, top it, fry it, and bake or toast it into deli sandwiches, main dishes, appetizers, and desserts. Now you can have it all, grain-free - no gluten, no corn, no soy, no eggs, no refined sugar, no tree nuts, or peanuts - pure, wholesome ingredients with no artificial binders and no preservatives. Finally, soft and light pita bread from the makers of your favorite grain-free, gluten-free bread and pizza. Look for it in the frozen section.

Buckwheat is neither a form of wheat, nor is it a grain. It is an herb cultivated for its triangular seeds that are ground and used like wheat. Botanically, it is related to rhubarb. It is a hardy, easy-to-grow plant without the use of pesticides.
