Directions | Refrigerate any leftovers. Cooking instructions: Deep frying is ideal, but baked is just as good. Filling is fully cooked. Deep fry: Place frozen Empanadas flat on a plate with enclosed paper so the Empanadas don't stick. Handle with care when thawed. Preheat your favorite oil (except olive oil) and fry in med-high heat. Turn occasionally until light golden brown. Warning: Be careful not to puncture Empanadas while frying. Use care as hot oil may splash onto you. Bake: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Arrange Empanadas onto a lightly greased baking sheet (discard paper). Allow to thaw for 1 hour. Bake until light golden brown, 20-25 minutes. (Optional: Before baking, lightly brush the egg wash to give it a golden glow). Please allow them to cool for 10 minutes before eating; fitting will be hot! Enjoy with chimichurri dipping sauce. |
