Other Description | In 1980, we created a beer highlighting the bold flavors and piney-citrus aromas of whole-cone cascade hops. The quality, craftsmanship and flavors were so unique that they helped change the face of American brewing. Today, our all-natural, bottle-conditioned pale ale is recognized worldwide as a classic. Six 12 oz bottles. Fresh seal cap use bottle opener. Year-round beers. Pale ale: Pale ale began as a homebrewer's dream and grew into a craft brewing icon. Its unique pine and grapefruit aromas from the use of whole-cone American hops make it complex, exciting, all natural, and refreshingly bold. Torpedo®: Our year-round hop bomb is named for our "hop torpedo," a revolutionary dry-hopping device that intensifies whole-cone hop aroma without adding bitterness. Torpedo extra IPA is an aggressive yet balanced beer with massive hop aromas of citrus, pine, and tropical fruit. Kellerweis®: Inspired by traditional Bavarian techniques, Kellerweis is brewed in open fermentation tanks to let the ingredients shine. The result is a hazy wheat ale-untamed, raw, and alive-with a fruity aroma and notes of spicy clove and banana bread. Porter: Porters were originally a fortifying drink for London's tough working class. We salute those workers with our classic Porter, brewed in the hop-forward American style and featuring a depth of malt flavor with roasted notes of black coffee and cocoa. Stout: When the brewery was first starting, we needed to brew a big beer to test the system in our fledgling brewhouse. A roasty stout was the obvious choice. Three decades later, our classic stout is as big, malty and rich as it's ever been. Please recycle. www.sierranevada.com. Seasonal beers: Ruthless®: Rugged and resilient, rye has been a staple grain for centuries. Ruthless is a hardy and rugged IPA with citrus and herbal hop notes balanced against the dry spiciness of the rye to bolster against whatever the winter winds may bring. Summerfest®: With a nod toward the traditional bohemian pilsners, Summerfest is crisp, golden, dry and incredibly drinkable. It has a delicate yet complex malt flavor and spicy and floral hop character-the perfect warm weather beer. Flipside®: With a ruby-red hue, restrained malt body and abundant tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors from the use of Citra, Simcoe and centennial hops, flipside red IPA is the perfect beer for the final flash of summer. Celebration®: First brewed in 1981, celebration ale is one of the few hop-forward holiday beers. Featuring the intense citrus and pine aromas of fresh whole-cone cascade and centennial hops, celebration ale is one of our most anticipated beers. High Altitude™ series: Bigfoot®: Bigfoot is a beast of a beer, brimming with bold bittersweet malt and heaps of aggressive whole-cone hops. First introduced in the winter of 1983, bigfoot is a cult classic beer prized by beer collectors for its supreme cellarability. Hoptimum®: Hoptimum is a hurricane of whole-cone hop flavor. Hopped, dry hopped and torpedoed for incredible hop complexity, and featuring magnum, Chinook, Simcoe and experimental new hop varieties, Hoptimum throws down the gauntlet to all other IPAs. Narwhal®: Narwhal is a massive malt-forward monster. It features incredible depth of malt flavor, rich with notes of espresso, baker's cocoa and roasted grain with a light hint of smoke. It is aggressive yet refined with a velvety smooth body and decadent finish. In 1980, we created a beer highlighting the bold pine and citrus flavors of whole-cone cascade hops. Today, our all-natural, bottle-conditioned pale ale is recognized worldwide as a classic. ALC. 5.6% by vol. Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. EST. 1980.
