Directions	Cooking directions: In a medium saucepan bring 2 cups water to a boil; add 1 tablespoon butter or margarine if desired. Stir in brown rice and packet of wild rice and pecan flavoring. Return to boiling; reduce heat to low, cover pan and cook 20-25 minutes or until rice is tender and water is absorbed. Makes about 3 cups of rice.

Here, in the rich soil of Iberia Parish, a rare variety of long-grain rice is grown that is cultivated nowhere else. Our tale begins years ago, when a young rice miller was experimenting with some rice seed, hoping to develop a grain with a unique flavor that only nature could provide. And he did.
