Directions | Stovetop recipe: In a medium saucepan, heat 1 1/2 cups water and 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine to a boil (melt butter/margarine completely). Stir in contents of stuffing mix pouch. Remove from heat, cover and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Microwave recipe: In a 1 1/2 quart microwave safe bowl, mix contents of stuffing mix pouch with 1 1/2 cups hot water and 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, cut into pieces. Cover, and microwave on high 5 to 6 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Caution: Bowl will be hot. Because microwaves cook differently, times are approximate. Stuffed Pork Chop preparation: Prepare stuffing by heating 1 1/2 cups hot water and 1/2 stick butter or margarine (melted). Stir in contents of stuffing mix pouch. Make parallel slits in 4 thick cut pork chops to form a pocket. Generously stuff chops with prepared stuffing. Skewer with toothpicks to hold shut. Best when used by date stamped. |
