| Directions | Keep frozen. Cooking instructions: Microwave: Pour succotash into 1 1/2 quart microwave-safe dish. Add water and cover. Microwave on high as-directed on chart. Drain. Season to taste. Amount-8 oz-16 oz. Water-2 tablespoons-3 tablespoons. Cooking Time *4 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 3 - 4 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 4 - 6 minutes. *Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owners manual. Simmer: For each 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of succotash, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add vegetables and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 8-10 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: Pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of succotash in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 7-8 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. To store: Keep frozen until ready to use. If thawed, cook promptly. Store at 0 degrees F (-18 degrees C). Check freezer temperature with thermometer and adjust controls as needed. |
