Steam: pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of Italian green beans in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 4 to 6 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. Microwave ovens: pour Italian green beans in microwave-safe dish: 1-1/2 quart size for 1/2 bag, 2-quart size for whole bag. Add water and cover. Microwave on high as directed on chart. Season to taste. Servings - 2 large - 5. Amount - 8 oz - 16 oz. Water - 2 tablespoons - 1/4 cup. Cooking time* - 3 minutes. Stir and continue to cook 3 to 5 minutes - 4 minutes.
