Directions | Cooking instructions: Microwave: Pour bag of frozen vegetables and 1/4 cup water into 2 quart microwave safe casserole dish. Cover and cook on high 6 minutes*, stir and continue to cook 6 minutes*. Let stand covered 1-2 minutes. Drain; season and serve. *Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owners manual. Simmer: For each 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of crinkle cut carrots, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add vegetable and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 6-8 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: Pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of crinkle cut carrots in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 10 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. To store: Keep frozen until ready to use. Store at 0 degrees F (-18 degrees C). Check freezer temperature with thermometer and adjust controls as needed. Keep frozen until ready to prepare. |
