| Directions | Keep frozen. Cooking directions: Simmer: For each 8 ounces (approximately 1/4 bag) of mixed vegetables, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add vegetables and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 4-6 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Steam: Pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/4 bag) of mixed vegetables in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 3-5 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste. Microwave ovens: Pour mixed vegetables in 1-1/2 quart microwave-safe dish. Add water and cover. Microwave on high as directed on chart. Drain. Season to taste. Amount - 8 oz - 16 oz. Water - 1 tablespoon - 3 tablespoons. Cooking time* - 1 minute. Stir and continue to cook 2-4 minutes - 3 minutes, stir and continue to cook 2-4 minutes. *Microwave cooking times may vary from one oven to another. For best results, consult owners manual. To store: Keep frozen until ready to use. If thawed, cook promptly. Store at 0 degrees F (-18 degrees C). Check freezer temperature with thermometer and adjust controls as needed. |
