Directions | Cleaning and sterilisation: Before first use, clean the product. Clean before each use. Always wash the product immediately after use. Wash in warm soapy water and rinse in clean water or use a dishwasher, top shelf only. Do not clean with solvents or harsh chemicals. Do not allow product to come into contact with oil based foods (e.g. oil/tomato based sauces) as staining will occur. Suitable for sterilisation by steam (electric and microwave), boiling or cold water tablet/liquid solution. Cups are suitable for cold water sterilisation by boiling, steam or microwave. Insulated cups are suitable for cold water sterilisation only. Not suitable for sterilisation by boiling, steam or microwave. Storage and use: Inspect before each use and pull the spout or straw in all directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness. Do not store or leave in direct sunlight or near a source of heat Do not store with or allow to come into contact with solvents or harsh chemicals. Not suitable for use in a grill oven or a microwave oven (combination convection microwave or grill microwave) with the grill (or convection) feature switched on. Keep all components not in use out of reach of children. Do not heat in the microwave with cup sealed, remove lid. The valve in this product can accomodate hot or fizzy (carbonated) drinks but Tommee Tippee Explora recommends giving your child milk or water at these stages. *In Great Britain the department of health recommends that solid food should not be introduced before 6 months, although you can start earlier (but not before 4 months) if advised by your GP. Important instructions for cleaning and assembling to ensure your cup functions correctly. Disassembly: 1. Un-screw the lid. Pull out the valve. 2. Separate the 2 parts of the valve (soft & hard). Re-assembly: 3. Align the two parts and press together as per illustration. 4. Important! Ensure parts A and B of the soft side are pushed through the holes of the hard side. Ensure the cut (slit) B opens by squeezing before use. 5. Place the valve back in the lid, and push until the sides lock into place. Screw on lid. Straw cleaning instructions disassembly: Disassembly: 1. Unscrew lid. 2. Pop up straw. 3. Remove the clear tube. 4. Remove the white retainer by pushing on the lever. 5. Pull the straw valve by lifting one side then the other and pull downwards through the lid until you feel resistance. Please see diagram 1. Do not remove the straw completely. *In the event that the straw has been completely removed through the lid - remove the trigger from the lid by pushing to the left then the right. 6. Wash all parts in warm soapy water and rinse in clean water or use a dishwasher (top rack only). Straw cups and drinking cups suitable for cold water sterilization only. Not suitable for sterilization by boiling, steam or microwave. Reassembly if the straw, lid and trigger are still together: 1. Align the white retainer with the base of the straw valve and push down on the button on the soft side so that it pops through the white side (See diagram 2). 2. Pull up straw so that the base of the straw valve is in the correct location and locks into place. 3. Attach the dear tube to the white retainer. 4. Fill the base with liquid. 5. Screw the lid back on and the cup is ready to use. If the straw, lid and trigger are separate: 1. Align the straw valve and the white retainer and push down the button on the soft side so that it pops through the white side. (See diagram 2). 2. Thread the straw through the hole in the lid and pull from the upper side until the parts click into the correct location, make sure this is fitted securely. 3. Align the trigger and the straw and thread the straw through the hole in the trigger copying diagram 3. 4. Place over the trigger's space in the lid and click into place by pushing firmly downwards. 5. Attach the clear tube to the white retainer. 6. Fill the base with liquid. 7.
