Directions Use this product to: Detect bugs. Find bugs. Use indoors in sleeping areas to detect bed bugs. To detect bed bugs early, you must place traps before an infestation occurs; otherwise you are just confirming an existing infestation. To maximize effectiveness, place all detectors at same time. Tips: Early detection is critical to solving bed bug problems. Look for bed bugs in tufts and seams of mattresses, behind the headboard and in cracks and crevices of the bed frame. If you see signs of bed bugs, wash linens, blankets and bed covers in hot water. Dry using the high heat setting for 30 minutes. For delicate items, you can use the low to medium heat setting. Vacuum carpet around the bed and furniture suspected to be infested. Remove as many bugs and eggs as possible. Immediately wrap and seal vacuum bag in a plastic bag and dispose in outside trash. This is how Raid® Bed Bug detector and trap works: 1. Place a detector on the floor next to at least two legs of the bed or furniture. Place a detector at the corner between the mattress and box spring, or under furniture cushions, also in the corners. 2. Bed bugs seek dark spaces, like the detector, to hide during the day before coming out at night to feed. 3. Bed bugs, upon entering the detector, will become stuck to the adhesive inside. 4. Dispose of any trapped bugs by wrapping and sealing detector in a plastic bag and placing in outside trash. Directions for use. For indoor residential use: For thorough detection of bed bugs, use 4 detectors per sleeping area, all at one time. Use the remaining 4 in a second nearby sleeping area or for travel. Replace with new detectors if bed bugs are discovered. 1. There are multiple detectors/traps in this package. Before placement, break Raid Bed Bug Detectors and Traps apart by folding at the perforated lines. 2. Place a detector on the floor next to the two legs of the bed or furniture closest to the person's head where people sleep or rest. 3. The other 2 detectors can be placed horizontally under the box springs or near the top of the mattress between the head of the mattress and the wall. 4. Always orient the trap with the label side down. 5. Detectors are most effective if sheets and blankets are tucked in, not hanging down and touching the floor. Bed bugs traveling to the bed may access the bed at these points, instead of using the legs where you placed the detectors. 6. The detectors should be left in place continuously and replaced when a bed bug is caught, when dusty or every 3 months. Use all detectors at once. Use enough detectors for all bedrooms and living room furniture. 7. Examine the detectors and the area under the detectors for the presence of bed bugs at least 2-3 times each week. A flash light may be useful for seeing the bugs through the top. 8. To discard, wrap and seal detector in a plastic bag and place in outside trash. 9. If even one bed bug is found, start a treatment program immediately. Go to raldkillstiugs.com to learn more. For Domestic travel: 1. Break Raid® Bed Bug Detectors and Traps apart before placement. 2. Place a detector on the floor between the bed and each of the night stands. If possible, place the other detectors on top of the headboard. 3. Always orient the trap with the label side down. 4. Detectors are most effective if sheets and blankets are tucked in, not hanging down and touching the floor. Bed bugs traveling to the bed may access the bed at these points, instead of using the legs where you placed the detectors. 5. The detectors should be left in place continuously during your stay. 6. Check detector before bed. 7. Use detectors in your luggage for your return trip. 8. To discard, wrap and seal detector in a plastic bag and place in outside trash. 9. If even one bed bug is found contact hotel staff; do not attempt to treat yourself. 10. Bed bugs are reclusive creatures, so place immediately upon check-in and check immediately each night before sleeping. How to identify a bed bug: Bed Bugs are very small (1/16 - 3/16 inches long). They are brown in color, have 6 legs and an oval bo
