Directions	Placement instructions: For best results, place unit upright on a flat surface where upward spray will not be dispensed onto objects. Place unit within 5 feet of traffic flow. Helpful hints: The sensor may not respond if: The room is too dark. Ensure sufficient lighting to allow a shadow to be cast upon sensor. The unit is placed directly under a light, especially sunlight. Move the unit out of the bright light. Sensor on the front of the device is blocked by objects. Position the unit so that the sensor is unobstructed. 2 ways to spray: Motion sensor: Senses up to 5 feet. Locks for 20 minutes after spray to conserve refill. Boost button: Press the button for an extra burst of freshness anytime you want it. Assembly instructions: Caution: Keep the unit pointed away from you and others during assembly. It automatically sprays a burst of fragrance 5 seconds after assembly to show it is working properly. The unit will then begin sensing motion. 1. To open unit, squeeze middle and pull down from top. 2. Pull and discard red tab to activate batteries. 3. Push up front cover to close unit. Replacing canister: Open front cover and remove the empty canister by pulling the tan refill tab. To install new canister, follow assembly steps 3 and 4 on the back of the refill package. Replacing batteries: 1) Open front cover. 2) Insert two new AA alkaline batteries. Note: ensure replacement batteries are placed correctly. Unit will not function if batteries are installed backwards. Use instructions: The smart unit automatically sprays fragrance when a shadow has been cast upon the sensor. The unit is in active mode and ready to detect motion when the light blinks every 5 seconds. To conserve the refill, the unit automatically enters a 20-minute lock-out mode once it has detected motion and sprayed (light is solid). The sensor is off and the unit will not automatically spray when in lock-out mode. After 20 minutes, the unit is again ready to sense motion (light blinks every 5 seconds). To override lock-out mode or for an instant burst of Glade fragrance any time, press the boost button on the front of the unit. Use only Glade Sense & Spray refills in this unit.
