| Directions | Basic cooking instructions: 1 cup Roland® kaniwa. 2 cups water*. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add rinsed kaniwa and reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook until all of the water is absorbed (about 15 minutes). Stir frequently to prevent sticking. You will know the kaniwa is done when spiral-like germ becomes visible. Remove from heat and let the kaniwa stand, covered, for 2-3 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Makes 2 1/2 cups. *Stock or milk can be used instead for extra flavor! |
