Vegetable beef flavored.
Preparation:
l. Combine soup mix with 5 1/2 cups of water in medium saucepan. Mix well.
2. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
3. Add 1 can (8 oz) of tomato sauce. Stir well.
4. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Variations (may change sodium levels):
Add 8 oz of cooked ground beef or cooked beef during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Add 8 oz of frozen vegetables during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Flavor with 1 tbsp. of wine (Sherry, Port, Marsala) during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Add 2 tbsp. of minced, fresh parsley as a garnish.
