Directions	Store in a cool, dry place. Beans, peas, and lentils are natural agricultural products. Despite use of modern agricultural equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Sort and rinse before cooking. Basic Cooking Instructions: 2 cups 13 Bean Soup Mix. 2 ½ quarts Water. 1 Ham Hock. 1 cup Onion, chopped. 15 oz Tomato Sauce or 1 quart fresh tomatoes. 1 to 1 ½ tsp Chili Powder°. 2 Garlic cloves, minced (or 2 tsp Garlic powder). Rinse 2 cups Bob’s Red Mill® 13 Bean Soup Mix, then soak overnight in water to cover. In the morning drain, rinse the beans. Combine the beans with 2 ½ quarts water and ham hock; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until beans are soft, 3 to 3 ½ hours. Add onion, tomato sauce or tomatoes and seasonings. Simmer 30 minutes.
