| Directions | Stove top directions - for one serving (about 1-2/3 cups). In medium pot, combine 1-1/2 cups milk 1/2 cup Quaker quick cooking oats, 2 tablespoons of sugar and a pinch of salt (optional). Bring to boil over medium-high heat. Cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Serve without straining. Microwave directions - for one serving (about 2 cups). In large microwaveable bowl, combine 1-3/4 cups milk, 1/2 cup Quaker quick cooking oats, 2 tablespoons of sugar and a pinch of salt (optional), microwave on high power 4 to 6 minutes or until thickened, stirring every 2 minutes. Let stand 1 minute before serving and do not strain. For thinner cereal, increase amount of milk, for thicker cereal, decrease amount of milk. |
