Arthur lived to be more than 108 years old and had many colorful adventures, including an encounter with Abraham Lincoln! The sauce's acclaim continued to grow after the recipe was passed on to his son Eudell. In 1954, Arthur's original sauce was splashed on more than 50,000 BBQ pork sandwiches at the Centennial Celebration in Kewanee, Illinois (known as the pork capitol of the world).
