Directions	Keep frozen. For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions. Before eating, cook thoroughly to at least 160 degrees F as measured by an instant-read food thermometer. Keep frozen until ready to cook. Adjust cook times and heat settings as needed. Refrigerate leftovers. Note: beets will turn the cooking liquid red. Stove-top directions: Heat 1/4 cup water to boiling in 2-quart saucepan. Add beets. Cover; cook over medium-high heat 9 to 11 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked. Drain if necessary. Microwave directions: Important: do not microwave in bag. Pour beets and 1 tablespoon water into 2-quart round microwavable casserole dish. Cover; microwave on high according to chart, stirring halfway through cook time, until thoroughly cooked. Caution: hot! Uncover carefully; stir well. Drain if necessary.
