| Directions | Prep instructions: You will need: 1/3 cup butter, softened* (not melted). 1 tablespoon water. *To soften butter, let stand at room temperature for 45-60 minutes, or microwave for 10-15 seconds until softened. Do not eat raw bar batter. 1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F for shiny metal or glass pan or 350 degrees F for dark or nonstick pan. 2. Stir bar mix, softened butter and water in a medium bowl, using fork, until crumbly. Press evenly in pan. 3. Bake as directed below or until edges are golden brown. Cool completely. Pan size - 8" x 8" - 9" x 9" - 11" x 7" - muffin pan. Bake time - 15-18 - 12-15 - 13-16 -12-15. High altitude (3500-6500 ft): no change.
