Other Description | Partially produced with genetic engineering. Our founding story: The initial idea for the country's most popular convenience baking mix was sparked in an unusual location-on a train. Traveling from Portland to San Francisco by railroad in 1930, a man entered the dining car and ordered biscuits with his meal. Expecting a long wait, he was surprised when hot, fresh biscuits were served in record time. He inquired of the chef on duty how such a feat was possible. The secret, he learned, was that the dough had been mixed ahead of time and stored in the icebox. He was so impressed, that upon his return, he presented his findings to his company's chef, who designed the mix we today call "Bisquick".
